Learn to skydive - The 8-levels of your AFF skydiving course

The AFF skydiving course is designed to teach you how to skydive quickly and safely using the very latest training techniques. AFF has been used to teach thousands of people to skydive with great success all over the world, in fact with AFF you can become a qualified skydiver in just a few days. There are 8 levels to the AFF course - each consisting of training on the ground, a single skydive and a set of manoeuvres that you must complete before moving on to the next level. It's considered the fastest and most successful way to learn to skydive in the world.

You start to learn to skydive from the minute you arrive. You will receive a minimum of 1 day on-ground training in basic skydiving procedures, free fall body position, canopy deployment, canopy control and safety routines. You will normally do your first actual skydive the following day.

Your first jump will typically be from 14,000 ft or more and you will be held on to by 2 instructors. You will be required to respond to hand signals to adjust your body position, check your altimeter and practice deploying your parachute before deploying it for real!

You will be talked down the ground under your parachute by one of our instructors using radio equipment. Your instructors will go over the skydive and examine the video with you and provide you with constructive feedback. Assuming they are happy with your progress you will then be briefed for AFF Level 2. Congratulations - you are a skydiver!

This skydive is almost identical to the AFF Level 1 skydive. This is a chance to practice the same procedures again, only this time you will know what free fall “feels like” before leaving the plane! If the instructors are confident you are relatively stable in the air one of them may release you for a little while and then take hold of you again to watch you deploy your parachute.

Your instructors will go over the skydive, examine the video with you and provide you with constructive feedback. Assuming they are happy with your progress you will then be briefed for AFF Level 3.

Possibly the least technically demanding jump! A solo jump - entirely on your own from around 5,000 ft. You get out the aircraft, get stable, wait a few seconds and then deploy your parachute. The purpose of this jump is to give you a taster of what it feels like to get out of a plane at a 'lower' altitude. Congratulations you have completed your AFF!
